Safe Space events are held throughout the year and are usually open to the general public. The events are designed to raise awareness about the need for safe spaces and the reduction of violence against women and girls, but they also benefit Rock Girl and are geared towards brining together like-minded people in a fun, innovative new way.

Interfaith Peace Service
Please join Rock Girl and the Safe Manenberg Campaign on Sunday, 15 June at 2:30pm for the Interfaith Peace Service in Manenberg.
The Western Cape Religious Leaders Forum (WCRLF) will be hosting an Interfaith Prayers for Peace gathering in Manenberg on Sunday, 15th June 2014. The event takes place at the Manenberg Church of Reconciliation at 14h30.
The goals of the interfaith gathering are:
• To acknowledge the trauma suffered by the Manenberg and other Cape flats communities due to the gang violence
• To honour educators and to commend them for the pivotal role that they have played
• and by bringing together local religious leaders from various faiths and denominations, the interfaith meeting is a powerful demonstration of bridging the divides within the Manenberg community and to resolve to work together to make Manenberg a safer community.
The programme includes a number of musical and prayer interludes, local youth and community voices as well as a host of faith leaders that include the Catholic Archbishop of Cape Town Stephen Brislin, former Muslim Judicial Council President Ebrahim Gabriels, pastor of the host church Fr Donny Meyer, and other faith leaders.
Please join us in prayer for peace and safety in our communities.
