Safe Space events are held throughout the year and are usually open to the general public. The events are designed to raise awareness about the need for safe spaces and the reduction of violence against women and girls, but they also benefit Rock Girl and are geared towards brining together like-minded people in a fun, innovative new way.
Kidults Opening at Freeworld Design Centre
Ten learners from Red River Primary School collaborated with the artist Paul du Toit on two large scale paintings at the Kidults opening at Freeworld Design Centre in Feburary 2012. These paintings will be auctioned online later this year to raise additional support for Rock Girl.
Design Indaba 2012
Eight Rock Girl benches were showcased at the 2102 Design Indaba Expo. The benches were used as public seating at the Expo and raised awareness amongst the design community and the general public about the campaign and the need of safe spaces.

On 4 June 2012, the Grand Daddy Hotel, Cycleworks, and Bos Lemonade are partnering with Rock Girl to host a Full Moon Bike Ride through the streets of Cape Town. Following the ride, Rock Girl will auction items ranging from weekend luxury safaris to bespoke vintage bicycles designed by leading artists including Paul du Toit and Atang Tshikare to raise funds for Rock Girl.
